Working together for a more inclusive town
Accessible Buxton Reception & Launch Event
Wednesday 22nd May
5.45pm-8pm
The Pump Room, Buxton
Buxton is a great town and there is a lot happening which supports inclusive access. Wouldn’t it be great to bring people together to talk about what we do well and what we could be doing to make Buxton even better for all?
This event, hosted by Buxton Festival Fringe and Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust, is for businesses, residents, organisations promoting accessibility and all who want to make Buxton as welcoming and inclusive as possible. Join them to share information about current initiatives and ideas for a joined-up campaign. What do we do already for residents and visitors? How can we raise our game, learn from each other and follow best practice and innovation?
The event will include discussions and presentations by Gillian Scotford and Jane Carver from Access For All UK, who will stimulate and inform us, sharing their extensive experience of supporting excellence in information, facilities and customer service; from Parkwood Leisure, who will describe their approach to inclusion; and will feature a special live performance by the Fairplay Signing Choir.
There is no charge for the event, but there will be an opportunity to make a donation to the Fairplay Signing Choir.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Pre-booking is essential. Register on Eventbrite here.
