Our first members’ meeting of 2025 was kindly hosted by Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust. We had updates on town development projects, presentations from a number of our members, including Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust, Parkwood Leisure and My LifeJars, and time for networking.

Our final formal members’ meeting of the year, kindly hosted by Ensana at the Buxton Crescent Hotel.
We heard an update from Ensana following the hotels being put up for sale, and from representatives from Buxton & Leek College about the business opportunities available.

Thursday 12 September 2024 – A pure networking meeting at the Palace Hotel co-hosted with Business Peak District for all local businesses and organisations in the local area, inspired by the Heritage Open Days festival (6-15 September) which had a theme of ‘routes, networks and connections’.
Thursday 2 May 2024 – AGM hosted by Buxton Football Club at the Silverlands Stadium Clubhouse. We heard updates from various town development projects and contributed to pre-consultation questions for the Revitalising Buxton project.
Thursday 15 February 2024 – introduction to Thomas Pitts, the new General Manager of the Pavilion Gardens plus updates from Buxton Civic Association and hosts Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust at The Pump Room.
Thursday 9 November 2023 – presentation by Peter Dewhurst, new Chair of Business Peak District at Poole’s Cavern Visitor Centre
Thursday 14 September 2023 – update on Buxton’s Future High Streets project with Cllr Anthony McKeown from High Peak Borough Council at the Palace Hotel plus updates from Buxton Civic Association and Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust.
Thursday 11 May 2023 – AGM & presentation on Nestlé Waters UK at their Waterswallows Factory
What happens at a members’ meeting?
Members’ meetings are informal opportunities to find out what is happening at Vision Buxton and to hear reports from our members and associates including High Peak Borough Council, the local police force and the Town Team.
Guests from local businesses or the community are often invited to give a brief presentation about a project which they are involved in and which may be of interest to Vision Buxton members. Attendees always have opportunity to ask questions or raise issues.
After approximately an hour, attendees can stay and promote their business in the networking meeting and carry on conversations. Tea and coffee is provided free of charge.
If you are interested in joining Vision Buxton and would like to attend one meeting before committing yourself, you are welcome to do so.
