Our second members’ meeting of the year took place alongside our AGM, hosted by Buxton Football Club at the Silverlands Stadium Clubhouse.
We heard updates from various town development projects and contributed to pre-consultation questions for the Revitalising Buxton project.

The Pump Room.
Our first members’ meeting of the year was hosted by Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust at The Pump Room.
We welcomed the new General Manager of the Pavilion Gardens, who introduced himself, and heard the latest updates from Buxton Civic Association, after their grant award, and Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust, along with the latest Vision Buxton updates.

This meeting featured a presentation from Peter Dewhurst on his new role as Chair of Business Peak District and an introduction by new Buxton PSCO, Natalie Lester and colleague PSCO William Brockett. There was also a discussion about Buxton Museum.

This meeting featured a Future High Streets update from Cllr Anthony McKeown from High Peak Borough Council, an update from Buxton Civic Association about the scientific research taking place in Poole’s Cavern and an introduction from the new CEO of Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust; plus the usual VB updates and time for networking. After the meeting, we had a look around some of the recently renovated rooms at the hotel.

Our next meeting will be held alongside our AGM. Following the formal business of the AGM (~15mins), organisation updates were followed by a presentation by our hosts Nestlé Waters UK and time for discussion and networking.
All those considering joining us are welcome along.
The meeting was proceeded by a members’ tour of the factory between 4pm-5pm.
What happens at a members’ meeting?
Members’ meetings are informal opportunities to find out what is happening at Vision Buxton and to hear reports from our members and associates including High Peak Borough Council, the local police force and the Town Team.
Guests from local businesses or the community are often invited to give a brief presentation about a project which they are involved in and which may be of interest to Vision Buxton members. Attendees always have opportunity to ask questions or raise issues.
After approximately an hour, attendees can stay and promote their business in the networking meeting and carry on conversations. Tea and coffee is provided free of charge.
If you are interested in joining Vision Buxton and would like to attend one meeting before committing yourself, you are welcome to do so.
