Next Members’ Meeting

A pure networking meeting co-hosted with Business Peak District for all local businesses and organisations in the local area, inspired by the Heritage Open Days festival (6-15 September) which has a theme of ‘routes, networks and connections’.

Following a welcome to the Palace Hotel and short introductions by Chairs of both organisations, the meeting will have an informal speed-dating style with attendees encouraged to speak to new people every 5 minutes. You are welcome to come along for the whole two hours, or just a portion of it, as time allows around family and business commitments.

We will be in the Ballroom at the Palace Hotel, which is along the corridor to the left of the hotel reception (although please check the reception function room board on arrival in case there is a late room change).

If arriving by car, the hotel has a good sized car-park. Please ensure you sign-in on the tablet by reception as a hotel visitor, otherwise you will incur a parking charge.

If arriving by public transport, the train station is 1-minute walk to the hotel with bus stops by the train station (Stop IDs: dbsgjpat/dbsgjpap) serving a number of routes. Other bus stops in the town centre are ~5 minutes walk to the hotel.

We encourage you to bring business cards/promotional materials to hand out. There will also be a table on which to leave leaflets/business cards if you can’t stay for the whole meeting. We will also have a board by the entrance to indicate which businesses and organisations are present, so please bring at least one business card/leaflet.

We ask that you provide your own name badge.

Refreshments will be provided.

No booking is necessary but you will need to sign-in upon arrival.

All local businesses, organisations and professionals are welcome along. Please invite your associates.

The event is free to attend but donations to help cover costs will be welcome.

Our second members’ meeting of the year took place alongside our AGM, hosted by Buxton Football Club at the Silverlands Stadium Clubhouse.

We heard updates from various town development projects and contributed to pre-consultation questions for the Revitalising Buxton project.
