Buxton International Festival is a renowned summer celebration of opera, music and literature.  The three week event features rarely performed operas in the magnificent Buxton Opera House and a music series which includes some of the finest musicians in the country. The successful literary strand includes over 40 authors, politicians and speakers from the world of television and film.  The festival also includes family and free of charge events and a year-round outreach programme for the local community.
