The University of Derby Buxton offers further and higher education opportunities for all students, with particular responsibility in the High Peak, the Derbyshire Dales and the north of the county. 

 Widening participation, progression and ‘partnership development’ for the county are key areas of focus. 

• We offer provision at all levels with progression through to post-graduate levels within one institution.Further Education and Work-based Learning is offer through the Buxton College of Further Education, which is part of the University of Derby Buxton.
• Widening participation and social inclusion is at the core of our mission and we support and are actively involved in the local community, including sponsorship of community events and festivals including the Buxton Festival.

 

The University of Derby’s School of Culture and Lifestyle is a centre of specialised excellence in areas such as Tourism, Events and Hospitality Management, Sport, Leisure and Outdoor Pursuits, Health and Wellbeing, Heritage and Countryside Management, Hair, Beauty and International Spa Management.
