Vision Buxton  - The Voice Of Buxton

Vision Buxton is an inspirational organisation created through the merger of the Buxton Business Forum and the Buxton Partnership and consists of:

  • An elected Board of 12 members
  • Eight full meetings a year to which all members can comment on the progress of developments in the town
  • Eleven monthly Core Group meeting at which specific operational day to day issues are progressed
  • Ad Hoc Working Groups which implement initiatives and projects
  • The Annual General Meeting, open to all members to be held on 28th March 2007, midday at The Lee Wood Hotel in Buxton

Vision Buxton has embraced all the past aims and achievements of these two important organisation's and is developing past and new initiatives that will improve Buxton.

Vision Buxton’s objectives include

  • Promote the needs and ambitions of businesses, voluntary groups and partnerships in the town
  • Identify what needs to be done to improve the town, stimulate action and influence implementation strategies
  • Improve and promote the reputation of Buxton as a great place to live and visit, locally, nationally and internationally
  • Have a positive impact on the economy of Buxton and the surrounding area
  • Improving communication between the public sector, local businesses and community organisation's
  • Act as a focus for discussions between the Councils, Government Agencies, local businesses and Voluntary Groups
  • Provide practical support and advice to businesses and the local community
  • Attract investment and funding for the town
  • Influence the delivery of high quality community services.
